Mark "Dr.Tea" Ukra's family has been in the tea business for close to 260 years. On his world travels his passion for tea led him to buy rare teas at auctions. As his passion for tea grew he looked for a place to educate and bring people the best teas from around the world and founded theTea Garden & Herbal Emporium in Los Angeles, CA in 1988.

For nearly three decades, Dr. Tea has travelled the world in pursuit of his studies of tea, in fact, he is considered to be a leading authority.

Because Dr. Tea, and a large part of the world, believes everyone can benefit from tea, his philosophy is to teach and guide individuals in the fine art of tea, its history, health benefits and proper brewing techniques.
