Change Your Energy -
Change Your Life

By Ken Page & Nancy Nester

Radio Hosts of:
"The Way It Works"
Thursdays,12 pm PT

How can we change the energy in our body in order to change the way we feel? By moving to the pineal gland - in the center of our head. Doing this will create space - time - for us to become less reactive. Moving to the pineal gland provides us with more than 366 subtle senses - allowing us to become even more sensitive. Not the overwhelming kind of sensitivity we feel in our heart - the kind of sensitivity that allows us to sense energy before it hits our energy field - before it compromises our emotions and affects our physical body. Moving to the pineal gland gives us that moment of opportunity to make a choice to react or not.
Think of the energy patterns in your body like a circuit of life force. Energy runs throughout your body at all times until you change the circuit. Only then can your vibration/nergy/past experiences/old patterns change. We have to be open to sense the things around us in a softer/safer way. Moving to the pineal gland allows you to do that. Using the Living Light Breath to move your center to your pineal gland also helps heal the three (3) lower chakras so you can change those old patterns, old power and control, male and female issues.
If you really want to attract different relationships, if you really want to feel good about yourselves and the way in which you communicate with others, if you really want to feel free from old energy projections, imprints and old patterns so you no longer have to attract the same types of people and experiences - then you have to change ! Change your energy - change your life.

Clearing Old Patterns
Here is a very simple technique that will help you change your vibration and change your life. It's not a lightning fast fix, a fast answer in this age of fast food - but it works if you are willing to help yourself by doing your own work. Perhaps the technique is too simple to make sense. Life conditions us to think that no pain, no gain. Life experiences have already caused you to have pain. Why not gain insight into yourself, change your vibration and change your life.
If you can love yourself only one percent (1%) more than you have ever loved yourself - you would change. How can you love more than you have ever been loved in the past? How can your future experiences of love be different than those in your past? The energetic clearing technique will show you how. Give yourself three (3) days and you will notice changes. Use it all the time and it will become a state of mind. You will love yourself more, you will change your energetic signature, change your vibration and your life will change. What have you got to lose? The choice is yours.
Do we believe you need to center yourself in your heart? ABSOLUTELY - YES - yet only after you have developed and practiced being more sensitive and allowing yourself the space for choice of whether or not you want to be reactive by 'feeling' the full energies of this 'real' world and those in it.
The heart center is so much more than other teachers might share with you. If you are interested in how to remain open and balanced in all of your chakras and bring yourself back fully to yourself, read the first part of The Heart of Soul Healing. You can also attend Nancy's chakra workshop for she teaches the full emotional and energetic responsibility of each chakra.
You have the choice to change. Change your energy - change your life. You can do this - we have faith that you can.

Ken and Nancy hosts "The Way It Works" on Healthylife.net, at 12pm PT, every Thursday.

From the Editor's Desk

The month of October has been "pinked," thanks to millions of supporters raising awareness and funds to fight breast cancer - the most common cancer among women in the U.S. The Breast Cancer Research Foundation states that in the United States alone, a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer, on average, every 2.5 minutes. Everything from t-shirts, jewelry, hair dye, and ribbon pins to cookware, laptops, and cell phones can be found, pink in color. Some towns, like Atlantic City, NJ, are even going pink by painting properties around the community.
I'd like to note here the great benefit of developing a positive outlook in life, in letting go of toxic people, places, and things in particular. Breaking through such can do wonders in boosting and building a healthier, more protective immune system.
Our HealthyLife.Net programming offers super starting points for creating a stronger, prevention-based foundation. Here's some quick ideas on that: Susun Weed's Green Blessings (first Monday of the month, 9-10 a.m. PT)
When a cherished friend of mine was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer, I bought her a copy of Susun's Breast Cancer, Breast Health! The Wise Woman Way, a must-read for any women. I've read and re-read my copy several times. Master herbalist, author, writer, workshop leader/teacher and wise woman Susun Weed does incredible work. Her empowering books and 600-page Web site is www.susunweed.com.
Mark "Dr. Tea" Ukra, world renowned tea expert, author, and co-owner of the Tea Garden & Herbal Emporium in West Hollywood, offers a tea library on his Web site (www.teagarden.com). There, you'll find Tea 101 lectures ("White Tea," "Green Tea") as well as articles like "Does Tea Really Fight Cancer? Yes!" Tune into "The Dr. Tea Show" on Mondays, 9-10 a.m . PT. It's your guide to good health…one cup at a time.
Doug Splittgerber and Debra Corbo are now on-air with their new "Your Body" show, Tuesdays, noon-1 p.m. Doug and Debra offer you a plethora of info about diet, exercise, how to prevent and improve many physical ailments, and current health issues. Debra is an Ivy League graduate physical therapist and professional trainer. Doug is professional trainer and former member of the teaching faculty at the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Visit their Web site at www.yourbodyyourresponsibility.com.
That's only part of it. For more inspiration and information, stop by our HealthyLife.Net Web site and look through our host roster. You'll find many empowering shows and articles with just the right stuff you need in creating an amazing life of health and well-being. Call in and ask us a question. Our show hosts, myself included, love hearing from you.
So tag…you've been pinked! Support National Breast Cancer Awareness Month by donning your favorite shade of it - tennis shoes and all - then donating your time and/or money to help spread the word about this important cause. Early detection and prevention is the critical difference in saving lives. Let us know here at HealthyLife.Net what you're doing as part of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

October
HOST OF THE MONTH:

Kristi Blicharski
of  "Success & Balance"
Thursdays, 11 am PT

Each month we focus on one of our hosts, and this month we are talking to Krisit Blicharski who has two decades in radio, marketing and public relations and is the Founder and Director of Bliss Media.

HL-. Paint us a picture of who Kristi Blicharski is?
I thrive when I have multiple creative projects going at once. My general nature is to help people, and I think with each venture I take on, there is something at the core of it that I see as helpful to others. Being in public relations for a number of years, I've had the opportunity to be a great help to a number of emerging companies and talented people. I love that aspect of it. Also, I'm very true to who I was as a kid. I was making radio shows on my tape recorder from the time I was 8, and was always a little entrepreneur. I had a business selling wallpaper covered light switch covers one summer when I was 12. To this day, I'm always looking for new creative projects, and I draw from a diverse background in business and media to bring my own flavor to each one.
HL-What is public relations and how can it help someone?
That's a question I get quite a bit. Public relations is a widely misunderstood profession, and sometimes can mean different things. But generally it's the art of taking a company, person, or brand and generating attention and publicity to raise the profile or change an image in a positive way. It can be in many forms, such as creating and distributing press releases, working with media to generate news stories, producing events, or other more creative ideas to help draw positive attention. Public relations is not advertising, although some professionals handle both in today's landscape.
HL-What are some of your memorable times doing PR?
I've had some pretty amazing red carpet moments. And, I've been honored to meet some truly moving and fantastic people. Early in my career, I interviewed Jack Lemmon for a charity telethon at his office in Los Angeles. He was so lovely. I just kept thinking to myself, "Jack Lemmon just made me tea!"
HL- 5. You're also a business success consultant, how does working with a successful business consultant help?
I have a passion for helping people to get new ideas off the ground, and to see them grow their business. In starting a new business, the most important thing is not to be afraid of failure. Just go for it. Pick someone you admire who has been very successful doing what you want to do, and take notes on what has made them such a hit. Then, be detail oriented - I can't stress this enough. Check to see what licenses you need, what local regulations may affect you, etc., and you will save yourself a lot of stress. And, don't spend money where you don't need to spend it. There are ways to do almost anything on a budget if you think outside the box.
HL-What can listeners learn when they tune into you Success & Balance Show?
It's a mix of inspiring business talk and ideas, current events, healthy living topics, and ways to stay balanced between life and career. We talk about everything from the latest financial news to where to go on vacation.
HL-What are some of the keys to creating and fostering a happy, balanced life? Abandon the rule that you must work 40 plus hours every week on an 8 to 6 schedule to be successful. This, in my opinion, is an old idea that we've been conditioned to believe. I know many successful people who learn to work quickly and efficiently to get the job done in less time or on a more varied schedule. They adjust their hours to balance their work life with other things they have passion for. Also, make time for yourself a top priority. You are no good to anyone if you burn out. And finally, if you are doing something that doesn't move you, set your sights on getting out. Life is too short and there is always a solution.
HL-What's been your biggest professional turning point? Years ago, I left a corporate job where people were chewing each other up, and there were sharks around every corner. The stress literally made me physically ill. But, I realized that I was allowing that to happen, and I had to choose to switch directions and take action. So I left without anything else lined up, and just had faith that I would find the right path. And I did, beyond anything I expected. The experience made me much stronger, and today I'm grateful for it.
HL-
If you could give one key piece of advice or insight here, what would that be? Always take time to "tune in" to yourself and listen to what your intuition is telling you, in everything you do. I've always done this, and it literally saved my life once. But that's a story for another interview!

Majaddarah
by G.E. Smith

o 1 small onion
o 1 C rice
o 1 C lentils
o 2 T butter
o Salt (to taste)
o Pepper (to taste)
This recipe makes a nice dinner for two people. Chop onion and set aside. With a little practice, the rice and lentils should not be overcooked and mushy-that's really the only thing to watch for. Rinse lentils, picking out any small "stones" of twigs you may see. In a medium saucepan, cover lentils with cold water. Cook on medium heat until lentils start to just get tender-if water starts to boil, turn down the heat a little. When lentils are tender, add rice then stir well. If you need to, add a little more water to just cover the lentil/rice mixture. Cook until rice is done. In the meantime, sauté onion in butter until it just begins to turn brown. When rice and lentils are nearly done, add onion and butter. Stir gently and finish cooking rice. Add salt and pepper (but not much pepper).

G.E.: "Majaddarah is a basic lentils and rice dish served in one form or another throughout the Arab world, across North Africa, and I even found a version in Istanbul, Turkey. My Lebanese grandmother made this for me several times a month, all through my growing-up years. I still enjoy it-Lebanese soul food."

Millions of TV viewers know his face-and that unruly blond ponytail that was always falling across it-from his ten years (1985-1995) of fronting the Saturday Night Live band. For G.E. (George Edward) Smith, perhaps the world's most recognized guitarists, it all began in rural Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, where he was just about born with a guitar in his hand. G.E.-who is also a globally acclaimed composer, singer, and bandleader-has an Emmy, a platinum album, and Grammy nomination among his many credits. He became the guitarist for Gilda Radner's Broadway show, "Gilda Live," played lead guitar for soulsters Hall & Oates, racking up hits like "Private Eyes," "Man Eater," "Kiss On My List," and others, and was called by Mick Jagger to work with him on his first solo album, She's the Boss and on Mick's Primitive Cool. G.E. has also toured with Bob Dylan, David Bowie, Mick Jagger, Buddy Guy, and dozens of others, collaborated with Tracey Chapman on Crossroads, and co-wrote "Wayne's World" with Mike Myers, which became a multi-platinum soundtrack, hugely popular SNL segment, and movie. He performed at Live Aid and Farm Aid benefit concerts, and acted between live dates, he has been the musical director and band leader honoring Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson at the Kennedy Center Honors in Washington, D.C. as musical director at the Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame Museum Concert in Cleveland. G.E. also led bands for The Muddy Waters Tribute, and the 1998 and 1999 Mark Twain Awards honoring Richard Pryor and Jonathon Winters, which aired on PBS and Comedy Central. He was the axeman behind the original music in the hit High Fidelity. His music can also be heard behind countless sports like ESPN and news shows. Following major label releases on Atlantic and Liberty, G.E.'s Incense Herbs, and Oils debuted on Green Mirror Music/Louisiana Red Hot Records. His band includes bassist Paul Ossola, former Wings drummer Steve Holley, and rhythm guitarist Tom Cosgrove. The same group also backs up G.E.'s wife, multi-award-winning singer/songwriter Taylor Barton. Web site:www.greenmirror.com
